Circus Of Power

Big fan of their first album.
Saw them live at a club.
Before the show, I spotted the guitarist. Clapped.
He came over. Shook hands. Told him just how great the release was.
He then turned, pointed, asked if I’d like to meet the singer.
I glanced down at velvet rope barrier.
Glanced at about 8 people huddled together.
“ No way, man “. He laughed. That was that.
I was in front. Stage about 5 feet high. Minutes before show....
Singer is on stage. Squats down. Shakes my hand.
“ Thanks for coming to the show “
I was about to say.....blah blah....my friends....we party to it..
But he quickly said, “ Hi, honey “
I turned. Next to me a beautiful rock babe.
She’s says, “ I love your stuff, Grant “
“ Yeah. After the show let’s hook up “.

Were you disappointed he didn't want to hook up with you?

Yeah, I remember those guys. "Call of the Wild" was a decent jam.



New York had a pretty healthy sleaze/hard rock scene back in the day - C.O.P., Spread Eagle, Warrior Soul, Throbs, Princess Pang, Law & Order, the Cycle Sluts From Hell, etc. A lot of good bands that got record deals but none really caught on outside of the tri-state area.

I am almost sure I own this album, somewhere in my collection. Gonna check it.

I recall it being a decent spin.
