New Ozzy Song Released

Believe it or not, Ozzy just released a new song:

Tremendous. Sound like Ozzy may have relapsed. Hard..

This is probably the best song I've heard from him since...I don't know...Ozzmosis came out?

That said, what a disappointing (and downright annoying) guitar solo. Who is that on this recording?

My initial thoughts about the song remain, "meh".

What happened to Gus G?

It doesn't look like any members of his live/touring band have been involved in the new release - none of them are listed in the credits on Wikipedia, though there may be details missing.

Average song. Glad that Ozzy is still around though...

I had no idea he had a new album coming out. It's not a bad song and does sound like something off Ozzmosis (The last Ozzy album I bought).

I also have the Ozzman Cometh 2CD compilation. Cool Black Sabbath demos, especially that original version of War Pigs called Walpurgis (though it's not called that on the CD, but that's the version, complete with the original lyrics).

As stated above On guitar Andrew watt from California Breed with Glenn Hughes and Jason Bonham.

I really like that cd. Andrew is not a metal shredder on leads. More of a 70's vibe in his playing. He is a really good singer too!

I love Ozzy's early albums, from Blizzard up to Bark at the Moon. Some real classics on these ones.

Haven't been able to get thru it all the way yet, but what I've head d hasn't really grabbed me. I'll still buy the album, cause its Ozzy, but hope there are better songs on it than this.

Its OK I guess. Obviously we won't hear anything like the first half dozen albums ever again.

As for the guitarist the solo was my favorite part.

The lyrics are laughable.

And "smart" move by Sharon on hiring studio musicians and paying scale, no royalties, so all cash goes to her.

I don't get it. Aside from the short bit around 3:30, which has a kind of Sabbath feel, it's a pop song disguised as metal. No thanks.

The song grew on me. At first I laughed because it was just very bland. After hearing it 10 times it is definitely a pop song but it just latched on to my brain!

Looking at who the producer/guitarist has worked with in the past, it's no surprise.

I love it! It's not my first choice for a single, would have appreciated something heavier. But it's an Ozzy ballad, and pretty much all of Ozzy's ballads are pop songs disguised as metal. Hell, Ozzmosis practically is a pop album. Overall, not bad for an old fart.

Like many have voiced on the internet, this would have been miles better with Zakk. The current guitarist kind of blows. My brain kept asking where the hell all the pinch harmonics were while listening to this song.

I really love those Sabbath demos on that comp, a whole whole lot.

But you should get more Ozzy albums.

I will get the new Ozzy album if it ends up for $5 in the shrinking Walmart cd section.
