The Skull

Didn't really see a dedicated topic to these guys, so figured I'd post the new song they just released the other day. Gotta say, this song is freakin awesome, and I can't wait till the album gets released later this year. Sad that I missed them last night, but work happens.

Anyway, check it out...

I agree. I used to hope for a reunion, but The Skull are putting out such great stuff, I'd be disappointed if that happened now.

I like the last Trouble album with Kyle, but The Skull is a lot more doomy and Eric's voice is one of a kind.

I wanted to like it because Kyle is such a great singer...but it did not stick with me.

I like the first Skull album and will probably pick this up at some point as well. Eric's voice is certainly unique. I like the Blackfinger project he does too.

I think The Distortion Field has a few songs that are very good musically, but overall it would of been better as a 5 song EP. To be fair, it was only their first effort with Kyle, so maybe the next one will win more people over. It's not easy replacing a guy like Eric Wagner.

Just got done preordering this album on vinyl. Probably pick it up on CD also later on.

This album kicks ass! To me this stuff is just as good as old Trouble. Really impressed by this release, y'all need to pick up a copy.

EDIT: I will say to probably stay away from buying the vinyl though. At least the splatter vinyl I ordered seems really noisy in between songs. Maybe try the black vinyl,or stick with the CD. I still love the music, but the vinyl quality seems cheap.

This is simply awesome. I will most likely order the cd.

I hope he recovers. He’s been a heavy smoker for years, so his lungs are not in the best shape. If he survives, I really hope he quits smoking and vaping. This really sucks because he’s one of my favorite singers.

With the sudden passing of Mike Howe… I honestly know anything can happen nowadays and we shouldn’t take anything for granted anymore.

I just hope and pray Eric can survive.

I read their fb post and immediately got a very nervous feeling. Saw them a few years ago, and even then he didn't look so healthy. Pretty overweight, you could tell he smoked a lot. He even got told by security to put out his cigarette in between songs. Hope he pulls through, but I'm very worried he won't. But who knows, maybe they found better treatments since my wife and I had it seven months ago. I hope so, he seems like a super cool dude, and has a great voice.

Hoping he pulls through and lays down those Marlboros for good.

I have always loved his lyrics.

Hope he recovers. Covid can be a serious issue for smokers.

Not to mention the risk of ending with pulmonary fibrosis.

I need to add some trouble albums to my collection.
