Yeah and I don't think we gave up that much either. The key is if they can sign Goldschmidt beyond next year. If so, this is a steal.

Meanwhile, my Pirates sign some rumdum from Cleveland no one has ever heard of. It's tough being a fan of that team.

Yeah but I don't know that's the Pirates fault necessarily. They just don't have the revenue stream other teams do. The Cardinals are no Yankees, Red Sox or Dodgers when it comes to money but they DO have a very lucrative contract with Fox Sports Midwest and they draw over 3 million fans every year so they're sure not hurting for money either.

In fact, they claim to still be in on the Bryce Harper Sweepstakes since Goldschmidt is "only" costing $14M nest year and they have several free agents that will come off the books after that if they somehow manage to sign Harper.

I actually hope they don't go after Harper because they could fill a lot of other "minor" holes with the money it would take to sign him AND we could throw that money at Goldschmidt to keep him beyond 2019 because he's not going to be anywhere NEAR as cheap as $14M after 2019. But I also wouldn't sign Goldy to the lengthy contract Harper is after because Goldy is a lot older. But you could lock him up for 3 more years at maybe $30M a year.

Same here.† That game was a lot more competitive than I thought it would be.† Kudos to both teams for playing their hearts out.

But I thought this year's uniforms were lame.† Remember 2015 when Army had a different division on each players helmet by position and Navy had awesome handpainted ships on the helmet by position?† Those were awesome.

I liked Army's uniforms even though they were a bit plain. That all black was cool.

NFL Red Zone

Saw Miami pull off a miracle pass†with†2 laterals for a touchdown as time expired to hang a loss on the hated Patriots.† Laughing very hard

Sadly the NFL has blocked the†video of the play but go here to see it:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uiz87A3RpEw

I love it!† Damn Pats were just standing around as the play developed.

So why would the NFL block that? Their previous Patriots lose a game?

I watched the Steelers lose to the Raiders 24-21 because that ass clown Chris Boswell miss not one but 2 field goals, the one on the last play of the game. Terrible

I don't know but I was laughing my ass off in real time!† All the Patsies were just standing around thinking the game was over.† Hilarious!
