What is your favorite band with a number in its' moniker [IE: 220 Volt, etc]? Mine would be 7 Seconds. But as far as metal - Japanese band .44 Magnum.

Most of my favorites have already been mentioned (PC69. 69 Eyes, 38 Special) but another one I like is a Celtic alt-rock band called Black 47. The closest thing they ever had to a "hit" was "Maria's Wedding".
I'd also throw in 70s punk band 999.
