It must have been rough to barely get by after all these years, even though he was doing what he loved.

Dan is the epitome of what being an underground metal musician is. As he rightly said, many of the 80's folk he hung around with went on to sell zillions of records. He never did. He stayed a blue-collar metal musician - but he always remained true to himself. This guy has really left a mark on the metal scene and never, ever got the recognition he deserved.

As a huge Nuclear Assault fan I'll really miss the guy. But after so many years of touring I bet you gotta try and get a certain stability and security in life at a certain age.

All the very best to Dan Lilker in all areas of his life whatever he ends up doing.

I like Dan Lilker and wish him all the best. I kind of wonder what he'll do next? He's always been all about music and I can't help but think that he'll miss it all too much a couple of years down the line.
