Sounds great! This band rarely disappoints me. There are even two songs off Shadowmaker I can't get enough of.

I liked it, even though it sounds a bit "pedestrian". Would be intersting to hear fast paced stuff from the album.

I love it, catchy as hell and still has that cool pirate shit going on. Just awesome. The only thing I do wonder about is if the song would sound even better at a faster tempo.

I'm the same way, I've been listening to a lot more of their newer stuff that I've never heard before and it's like Rolf is critic-proof. Amazing music. If someone wants to sell me their entire catalog on CD at a reduced price, let me know. Really looking forward to the day the older stuff gets reissued (WITHOUT COMPRESSION).

On that note, does anyone have much knowledge of the Japan releases? Thinking about going that route.

I like what I hear there (what little there is)

Resilient is another good Running Rolf album. It is not even close on touching the golden era, but still solid. I hate the lame ass drumming though.

Heard a couple songs and am sad. What is Rolf thinking, and also that vocal mix.....yuck yuck yuck.


None of this of course nullifies the fact that everything up to 'The Rivalry' is godly.  

Listening to samples of the whole album and it's plodding. Where's the speed of stuff like Black Hand Inn?

I like it.

I am going to get this - I enjoyed Shadowmaker and this is better.
