Testament - Dark Roots of Earth - Album Artwork and Details

Bay Area thrash titans, TESTAMENT, have revealed the cover art and details for their upcoming Dark Roots of Earth release! Artwork was painted by Eliran Kantor who has worked with such bands as SODOM, ATHEIST, SIGH. Dark Roots of Earth was produced, mixed and mastered once again by the world renowned Andy Sneap (ARCH ENEMY, NEVERMORE, ACCEPT, EXODUS). Special bonus tracks were recorded, mixed and mastered by Juan Urteaga (CATTLE DECAPITATION, HEATHEN, VILE, SADUS) at his Trident Studios. The highly anticipated follow up to their 2008 release The Formation of Damnation will be released on July 27, 2012 (Europe) and July 31, 2012 (North America).

Now of course the best album cover in the world won't do you any good if the music's no good. However, Testement is one of my all time favorite thrash bands (maybe even my #1) so I have no doubt the music will be just as good if not better. I can't recall any dissapointments from them (I don't care what anyone says, The Ritual is kick arse).

The Ritual is fantastic! Yeah, probably a shock to those who got into them before, kind of like how I felt when I heard Demonic, but The Ritual was my intro to the band, so I love it.

yeah it was good. so was the last album. i just don't want them to forsake the thrash altogether. i'm in the bunch that considers The Gathering to be their finest output. melodic, deathy, thrashy, speedy... perfect.

I always liked The Ritual, good catchy metal album. The Gathering is probably my favorite post-80s album by them.
