Does anyone know if u can just take a set of regular stereo speakers and hook it into the back of your tv and it will be much louder?My tv is a Vizio 42in hd tv and has lots of plug ins in back.

I don't think it would be louder - you would need a separate receiver/amp for that

The speakers are only as loud as the amount they were made to produce. Plug it in and let us know.
