Overkill's best era

Id go with From I Hear Black to Blood letting

I'm mostly know the late 80s/early 90s stuff, so I went with that.

No contest.

it's all Overkill, so it's all good.

I'm old, thus went with the first choice. Still like them now, they've put out alot of good albums over the years.

Well,it's all good to me but if I had to choose, I guess I'll go with the first era.

I love it all, but I tend to listen to the latest stuff the most. I think that Dave Linsk is one of the band's best guitarists, or at least he's my favorite. So it would be Bloodletting through Ironbound.

I like all eras but went with the early stuff just for nostalgia sake.

Bloodletting is one of my favorite Overkill releases. Ironbound is working it's way up the list too.

"Taking over" is their best of all

The first era is my favorite, but they STILL consistently put out good stuff, there was really only 2 albums in the mid 90's that kinda suck.

I voted for the early era. But you can't go wrong with any era.

Early stuff because Taking Over is my all time favorite. But yeah all their stuff is great. The only albums I haven't gotten into yet are the ones I haven't heard yet.

The lyrics were straight forward and dark back in their 80's heyday.

But now Blitz's lyrics are strange and vague...

I dig it all, but like so many others went with the early stuff just because of the "nostalgia factor."

Though I have been spinning"Ironbound" and "From the Underground" the most lately.

Since I'm an older guy I have loved their releases as they came out, so I would choose the first 'era'.
However, if the third 'era' was from Bloodletting to Ironbound it may have been a push. But I do love all their stuff, always have.

Agree! Started listening with Taking Over, but am voting 'new' all the way.

This bothers me too a bit from time to time.

I love all eras, but I kind of dig the stuff from W.F.O and beyond better.

And why three "eras?" Isn't W.F.O. really where they switched it up a bit, got heavier and groovier? I'd say the band had two distinct eras.
