Halloween 2010 plans?

I'm a HUGE fan of Halloween. It's second only to Christmas for me! Being new in this town (again), I know no one so I don't have any parties to go to or any significant other to dress up with but I'm gonna dress up anyway as an '80s glam rocker and walk around the neighborhoods with my sister's family. I bought most of my costume today but still have a few accessories I need to pick up.

Of course, all throughout the month I'll be going through my own horror movie collection as well as watching whatever cool stuff shows up on TV (watched some of the Hammer films on TCM last night).

What are your plans in order to celebrate the holiday?

My three year old is going to be Scooby Doo and my seven year old is going to be Shaggy.

I'm going to be the tired looking guy in an Iron Maiden shirt and sweatpants escorting Scooby & Shaggy around the neighborhood.

As usual, I'll be handing out the BIG size candy bars.

I get the assortment packs at Sam's Club that are supposed to be used for fundraising. Every year I get "repeat customers" who say stuff like "Yes! This house always has the best candy!"

Just wear a white shirt with blue sweatpants, and you can be Fred.


I think I'll be attending a party at my brother's on the 30th. He always does up his house. He's known as that guy in the neighborhood that goes "overboard" much to the embarassment of my sister-in-law and my nieces. lol

Don't know what my kids will be yet, but I will be the guy in a Maiden T-shirt and jeans walking them around - lol

Going to take my 2 girls, ages 5 and 1, trick-or-treating. Then I will filter through the candy bonanza and take all the good stuff for myself.

Nothing really. May watch a horror movie.

I will be at home, most likely. However, the day before that, Unbidden releases their debut album at last! They are throwing a release party for it that night, and I'll be there buying their album.

GO around the neighborhood with the family to ask for some candy.

Sundays are my transition day (Wed. evening to Sun. morning I live a night shift life and a day life the rest of the time) so I'm either awake or asleep on any given Sunday night. So I probably will not do anything on Halloween (it will be the first time I don't wear a costume since 2003).

Not a bad idea. I refuse to wear an ascot though.

My daughter is going as Dorothy because she won't take off her ruby red shoes that my wife bought her back in August. And my son will probably be the Scarecrow if we can get him to wear the costume. Not looking too promising at this point though.

I'll be the guy pulling the wagon with a beer in my hand and my mp3 player plugged in, trying hard not to stare at the teenage girls who find Halloween the perfect time of the year to dress as trashy as possible and pass it off as a "costume".
