I'm surprised I haven't seen more talk of this CD around the net. It was released last year and is a superb classic metal/power metal CD. Anyone else have it? Thoughts?

Don't have it yet but it's on my most wanted list. I like the style, just wish the "Ripper" was still with them. I seem to like everything he does. He vocalizes my favorite Iced Earth and Beyond Fear is just great!!

Excellent album indeed, have 2 versions of this CD both were released on Metal Heaven but one came with standard 9 tracks and the other includes the Demo 2004 as bonus tracks. The Powergod vocalist does a great job on the mic too, I perfer him to Owens in the band.

| A very good album. I must have listened to "Seal the Light" a hundred times before I realised the lyrics were inspired by Lord of the Rings.

How would you compare later Winters Bane albums (without Ripper) to the incredible Heart of a Killer? Are they worth getting?

The new one reminds me a lot of Nevermore at times. The song Dead Faith especially comes to mind as Nevermore-like.

I hear that Nevermore vibe a little bit. I like the speed and agression on Redivivus. The vocals are just right and the band is tight sounding. This is up there with anything in the genre for me. Beyond Fear, Primal Fear, Vicious Rumors...stuff like that? This is right there!

Love Redivivus!! I was once in touch with Lou St. Paul and even interviewed him a few years back. I still have his email address, but since the WB board went down, I've not contacted him much. Still looking forward to the album with Rob Rock and his planned instrumental album. And thanks for the trade, Scott.

Just a heads up... This cd is now being offered on CDBaby.com as part of their Buy 3 @ $5 deal. It regularly sells for $13 bucks. I have no idea how long this offer will last, but I just placed an order yesterday, along with some other tasty picks, so you might want to jump on this quick if you're still looking for a copy.
