Ok, It' s not metal! But as I like 80' s Punk and Hardcore bands like The Misfits, Dead Kennedys, Minor Threat, ecc, I like Social Distortion a lot too! Many says they invented Punk-Blues!
I like all of their albums, but my favourite are: "White Light, White Heat, White Trash", and their last "Sex, Love, and Rock n' Roll"!
I' ll never found their self titled (whit country and blues influences) very interesting, kinda boring in my opinion! Even It Is their most famous and sell-out!

Favourite songs: "I Was Wrong", "Through Theese Eyes", "Winners and Losers", and "Angels Wings".

I like S.D. alot...especilly "Mommy's Little Monster"

Wow! Cool they sound similar, Punk with Hardcore and Country influences!.... This is TRUE good Punk!

Their singer Greg..is a great guy....He lives down the street. I'm pretty sure the band is no longer but he co-runs an indie punk label called KAISER RECORDS....with a buttload of cool psychobillyish punk bands...

I like Social D. I was lured in by "I Was Wrong" and then I discovered their cover of "Ring Of Fire" and I was hooked.

I say...bring on the punk(ish) bands! I love a lot of that stuff!

And if you want some more "cowpunk", check out Jason and the Scorchers.

Love these guys!! Their take on Ring of Fire is just outstanding. I like the later rockabilly stuff moreso than the straight-up hardcore of their early days, but it's all good. Mike Ness's solo works are really good too. And these guys are probably in the top 5 or 10 concerts that's I've ever scene.

BTW, the one decent song on the MySpace is White Lies. That's typically what this band sounds like.

I have never really investigated this band though I've been told they'd be right up my alley as I'm a huge Ramones fan and Social D. have a rep for being "L.A.'s version of the Ramones."

Back in '92 or '93 I thought I'd finally get a chance to find out for myself cuz Social Distortion opened a Ramones show I was going to in New York. Unfortunately, my buddy and I had endless amounts of trouble getting to the venue, got there seriously late, and walked in just in time to hear "Thank you New York, we're Social Distortion, good night!" -- damn!!

Yeah, I found more Misfits, a little similar of Ramones except for the B-Movies Horror style and lyrics....

Wish I still had that Social D cd. Ring of Fire was great, but frankly, so did the rest of that album. Killer slab of music.

I liked a few songs from Mommy's Little Monster, but I never really got into their other stuff, I had their S/T once, but it wasn't much to my liking

The one punk band I could really get into, especially the later years.

I prefer the band their original drummer formed, D.I.
