First off, there are only two genres of music ! That being stuff I dig and stuff I don't. With that out the way, this cd is something that is worth checking out. Honestly, it was better than expected...way better.
My initial listen was after putting it on an Ipod and checking it out while on my truck route to the Bay Area one day. It sounded terrible and figured it was a production thing, but... I decided to throw it (the cd) on a proper system and for my good fortune, a wise move.
The production was fair, the songs were well written and arranged, and the players got busy, definitily know thier craft. I intended to do a song by song kinda trip, but my attention span really bites most of the time. My closing comment is that after listening to this cd a few times, it leaves me only wanting to go check these folks out onstage. For what it is worth, that is a compliment to the band.

Rating 3 of 5 on the sore neck scale. 3.5 of 5 on the toe tapping scale. 4 of 5 on the groove-ometer. and 3.75 of 5 on the shred scale. Average 3.5 of 5

That is exactly how i feel about that album too!!
If the next album gets better production, and the songwritng takes another step up. This band will have a fair chance of making it!
Great review James B :metal:

Awesome. Glad you liked it. Yea the production is so so but I think it was because of how we mixed it. Everyone was giving their imput on what it should sound like and I think there was just too many of us working on it at the same time. Also our producer even though hes a very good friend of ours doesnt really record a lot of metal bands so that played in as well.

Its tough mixing an album. You can take what you have and listen to it in all sorts of players and it will sound different every time. I think its ok though and yes the next album will sound totally different atleast production wise. We have grown a lot too since we wrote those songs so there will be some new touches into our sound.

Thanks for the review! Very Happy
