Ned's Atomic Dustbin

I know alot of you guys here personally - so I can totally recommend Ned's to all you metalheads! They have a cool dynamic of having 2 bassists - 1 lead and 1 rhythm! Makes for a very unique sound that I have never heard anyone come close to duplicating!!

Big Bad VooDoo Daddy
Lit

I own a few Green Day or Offspring discs here and there, but I wouldn't list them as favorites.

I agree that Alice in Chains is not really metal. Just because they have some metal in their music doesn't make them a real metal band.

Fairly or unfairly, they were labeled as Metal when they first came out then the lable quickly changed to grunge. I wouldn;t consider them a metal band

I have been a metal fan since junior high, but during the late 80's and early 90's (when I entered college) I began to explore many musical styles. The 90's certainly brought about some good variety. Yes, Liz Phair...totally love her. And I had totally forgotten about Therapy? Great band.

Oh, and it was almost sacriligious for me to leave out The Afghan Whigs. Had all their stuff in the 90s... Gentlemen is one of my favorite CDs of the decade.
