New single is amazing and anything with Mark Tremonti and Scott Phillips is pure gold IMO. Mark Tremonti continues to be the best hard rock guitar player and one of the best songwriters of our time. This cd will probably be a top 5 for me. I cant wait...

Like I said in the CREED thread...I must admit to being impressed with this new single. I was not expecting to like it since I'm not really a fan of the band and, generally, do not like Stapp's vocals. But, I have to say, that "Overcome" is a great song! I never knew crow tasted so good...

I'm a fan of the guitar player so i will probably get this. I will just wait to hear a few more songs to see if it is consistent. I can see them touring with AIC since both bands will be releasing albums in the same time frame. I did like the first Creed album when it first came out but lost track when they got overly popular. Mark Temonti is the best guitarist in his genre of rock. He has really proven himself...

Throwing a decent solo over garbage doesn't equate anything but garbage with a solo. This song sucks, creed sucks, and anyone who disagrees also sucks.

I hate Creed.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Creed made the Nickelbacks of the world possible and for that there can be no forgiveness.

Take away the vocal style and the timing (90s), Nickelback and Creed are just solid Hard Rock bands...no different than AC/DC or Def Leppard...fact.

"Midwest housewife rock", you mean like all the 80s Hair Bands are now? Having the airwaves full of 3 Doors Down, Nickelback, Creed, Shinedown, etc is absolutely no different than when they were full of Poison, Firehouse, Bon Jovi, Whitesnake, etc...it's the commercialized, mass-marketed Rock of it's time...

I liked My Own Prison and then a couple songs off the other albums. MOP was a little rawer and they need to get back to that. The new song actually sounds really good.
