| I made a list of the 20 best hard rock/metal albums from 1976 in this thread...
http://heartofmetal.niceboard.com/heart-of-metal-f1/1976-the-greatest-year-in-hard-rock-metal-history-t1232.htm?highlight=1976
....I'd add these non hard rock/metal albums to the list of best '76 albums.
Eddie And The Hot Rods - Teenage Depression The Quick - Mondo Deco Undisputed Truth - Method To The Madness Sensational Alex Harvey Band - Sahb Stories Heavy Metal Kids - Kitsch Ian Hunter - All American Alien Boy Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers - Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers Blondie - Blondie Flamin' Groovies - Shake Some Action Modern Lovers - Modern Lovers Dr. Feelgood - Stupidity Patti Smith - Radio Ethiopia David Bowie - Station To Station Tom Waits - Small Change Warren Zevon - Warren Zevon The Babys - The Babys Overall Rocks would come out on top with Eddie And The Hot Rods a couple of Lizzy's and criminally overlooked power pop and psychedelic soul groups The Quick and Undisputed Truth following those. _________________ "...Got tattooed arms and rings in my ears Never gonna suffer a straight man's fears..."

| | With all due respect to a great year, it was "Sad Wings", one of the greatest albums in any year. But wasn't Sweet's "Give Us a Wink" from '76? Hard not to mention that! |
