| Alot of us were kids in the 80's. Alot of us listened to pop music of the day. Alot of us didn't. This post is directed to those who DID listen to 80's pop music.
What is your favorite 80's pop album?
Mine is
Loverboy - Keep It Up

That was the first cassette I ever shoplifted and the first I ever completely wore out. |

| I don't have one...because I'm soooooooooo metal! Seriously, just not a fan of the style. At least I don't think I like any albums. I can't think of anything. _________________ "Happy people have no stories." —Therapy?

| | I always really liked Transvision Vamp. Had attitude, was catchy, and Wendy James was easy to be into. |

I would call it good old Rock 'n' Roll, but if this qualifies as pop, it's got my vote!! One of the few that I not only like, but I have on CD. |

| Man, I'm a big fan of all 80's Pop/Rock music, too. Hard to pick one in particular as my favorite. Some of them were... MICHAEL JACKSON-Thriller HUEY LEWIS & THE NEWS-Sports BILLY JOEL-An Innocent Man BILLY IDOL-Rebel Yell PRINCE-Purple Rain THE TIME-Ice Cream Castles REO SPEEDWAGON-Wheels Are Turnin' THE CARS-Heartbeat City DURAN DURAN-Rio THE POLICE-Synchronicity STYX-Paradise Theatre TINA TURNER-Private Dancer FOREIGNER-Records (contains some 70's songs) PAT BENATAR-Crimes Of Passion (it's from '79, but still is her best representation, IMO) LIONEL RICHIE-Can't Slow Down NIGHT RANGER-Greatest Hits KOOL & THE GANG-Emergency RAY PARKER JR.-Greatest Hits (His band RAYDIO from the late 70's were killer!) There were many others, but I'll stop. I'm sure I'll get flamed just for mentioning half of them. |
