Anyone get their copy of Visions???

Not yet, but Doug promised me to send it as soon as he receieved his batch. It's funny though, I thought people pre-ordering something would have it before the official release dates.

I hope they will send me a copy. I didn't pre-order one, but I was still in the band when the pre-orders happened. We'll see.

James from OpenGrave was kind enough to send me a copy. I've only listened to the first song and half of the second one so far. The first song is really good, but man, the sound quality is pitiful. Really pitiful.

I also have to comment on the printing, it looks as if the inserts were printed on a laser copier instead of on a press. A lot of the subtleties have disappeared. And from what I understand the songs are out of order. I want to go on record as saying I didn't do any layout work. All I did was give over the artwork files.

My autographed copy arrived in the mail. I'm very very disappointed in this CD. The songwriting is good and I like the guitar work. the production on the other hand is atrocious. It sounds very muddy. I ordered this CDwhen ult was singing for Once dead. I wish he had sang on this cd. I don't like metalcore vocals and that's what Devin delivered. I work for a printing company so I might be a little nitpicky here but the the printing on the cover is not professional at all. Even the track listing on the Cd is out of order. Disappointing. I'm glad Glen went back to Hirax. He's better off there!

Finally got this puppy, and I'm loving it!

I am eating crow and loving it as well. Thankfully the vocals are buried in the mix, and the riffs are fantastic.

I've finally been able to get past the vocals and recording issues and am enjoying this CD too. I still think this CD would have owned us all with a better recording and a thrash vocalist.

Hey Glenn, some of these songs would have made awesome Hirax songs, especially Body Parts and Visions.

They would have been...Visions would have been on VR's HS cd. I wrote the basic song around that time.

I have it. It's cool.

I haven't made my top-25 in 2008 yet (haven't received or listened to them all yet) but I'm fairly certain Visions....will be somewhere in the top-15.

The more I listen to this, the more I like it. The songs become more important and the production becomes less important over time. I still wish that ult had sang on this. He was one of the main reasons I pre-ordered this CD. However, it's still a good CD.

Glenn, some of these songs would could have destroyed with Hirax.

Anyone know if Once Dead is still a band?

I don't know if Doug is still doing it... I don't think they have time for it.

I noted elsewhere, or in a another forum, I love this album. It's become a favorite. It's pure to me.

I think I'll probably ask for it for Christmas. Honestly I have been skeptical since it came out and with no scott on vox, not to mention only 1 real VR member involved, I havent been too anxious to hear it.....but I keep hearing such great things about it!
