The image screams JetBoy what with all the mohawks and bolero hats, but unfortunately so comes JetBoy's mediocrity. I can't get into it or many of their swedish peers sadly.

Gunk Rock (What is gunk rock? Well its not quite 80's grunge but it smells like a Supa Fuzzed Mudhoney shaking in a diseased flux after coming down with a serious case of the Jeffrey Lee Pierce's while Green River digs its grave)

I fell like I should be running through a haunted mansion to this music. Very catchy very dancy wich means great halloween party music.

Strapping young lad with a bit more punk influence.

They're on vagrant I dont if that counts as major but a good listen regardless.

OK I will play too...........

Michael Schiel is a competent enough guitarist. Nothing really stands out as overly impressive, IMO. Perhaps he could have picked some better samples to put up on his page.

Silver Cypher. power/thrash metal from Ohio. For fans of Iced Earth.

Fuggin' 'ell Shiney! Were do you pull these bands from? Were to start, i don't know maybe the Fuzztones on acid meets early Flaming Lips without the acid. All i know is this is flashy, bright and drips all over the place. What a mess, but i like cleaning up this mess.

....And now for something completely different and a bit more conventional

The Veins

Untrippy Unpsychedelica New York Rawk & Roll!!!!!

Great songwriting coupled with the tried and true country rock sonic wall paper. I'm getting a Gram vibe here although more G.P. than Grievous Angel.

Serves up....

Paul K And The Weathermen

Americas greatest kept secret of the last 20 years (although i think he likes it that way), a songwriter on par with his muses Nick Cave, Tom Waits, Townes Van Zant and Leonard Cohen! No kidding.

Prolly should do with a long winded ham fisted caffeine fueled write up in the lost bands section!

My go:

Domination Black

Traditional metal from Finland. A virtually unknown band even within the metal community. The singer bears an uncanny resemblance to Tim Owens.

If the same old trad. heavy metal structures from the 80's with Horror inspired lyrics are your deal then you would be doing yourself a favour and checking out Domination Black. But me i'm not really a fan of this Scarehouse Judas Priest derived metallic alloy.

Here's one, a spike to the left corner if you can return it.

The pawnshop roses singer sounds somewhat like a young van morrison and john mellancamp mix. I thought the music was good but i would really like to see them rock!!

Heres my new one:

Damians - Building an Empire (prog metal with some ambient)

Moody swirling metalscapes with those reflective Seattle chords, somewhere in the Porcupine Tree orbit.

Cheater Slicks

The sound of the Australian post-punk swamps circa 1983 before it's sound was co-opted by a bunch of long hairs from the pacific north west.

Hey if Jeff Dahl says so...i'm there. Primo rawk action, "f*ck art lets rock" as Cleveland's finest evil boys would say.

Snatches Of Pink

If only the Glimmer Twins made music this good these days, but then they haven't been bending their minds to Tex & The Horseheads and Roland S. Howard like these long suffering underground hero's.
