I had to take a couple of days off from work after a hospital visit where they told me I may have passed a small kidney stone. Thank goodness it wasn’t Appendicitis or a Hernia. They ran numerous tests and I’m sure I’m going to get a huge bill that will take me years to pay. Anyway, afterwards I had to swing by the evil empire (Wal Mart) and pick up some Aleve and I saw KISS M&Ms. I thought ‘Cool I can eat Gene Simmons ...

I don't have a website or write for some publication. Just a fan

The intro of a classic George S. Patton quote sets the tone... the brutal truth told straight and to the point.

"Baptized by Fire" nice opening riff and "BAM" the band gets busy

with a tasty lil run by Glenn. The tone cuts through the statement made in the speed of the rest of the band as Katon begins to narrate with attitude and power in his voice. The next guitar solo is by Lance and it ...

I've been writing reviews and an occasional column called FROM THE MEGA-VAULT for the "Detritus" e-zine ( www.myspace.com/detritusezine) on and off for a couple of years now. While I was looking thru some stored items on my computer I came across this review I wrote a few months back so I thought I'd post it ...
I went to see Primal Fear with Brainstorm opening at The Rock in Copenhagen yesterday. Let me start out by saying it was freakin' AWESOME!!

Let's start from the beginning. Me and some buddies drove the 3,5 hour drive from Sønderborg to Copenhagen. The venue was easy to find. On the outside it was this old, atrocious building, but on the inside it was a metal cave! The actual stage was rediculously small, and we were standing litterally less than a meter from the stage. Only around 300 people ...

Awesome show for the most part.

High on Fire started things off with a set that was disappointingly short but played with tons of energy. I've heard lots of great things about them live and I think they lived up to it. It was a little difficult keeping track of songs with four bands up but as I recall the songs played were (in no particular order except the first and last ones):

Fury Whip

Speedwolf

Cometh Down Hessian (this one got the first mosh pit of the night going)

I think this is the one Judas Priest album (along with "Turbo") that takes the most flack. Honestly, I'm not sure why. I myself have given it alot of flack over the years and I have forgotten why. That has prompted me to go back and listen to this album once again with fresh ears. Let's see what I find out....

1. Ram It Down

Quote:The quintessential Kings of 80's (Christian)

Glam-Rock have returned with the long-awaited follow-up to 2005's

Reborn, Murder By Pride.

As a quote on Michael Sweet's home page

reads, "More guitars, more solos, more screams" sums it up quite

nicely. But if you just hear that quote, your missing a great deal.

Sure enough the new LP is full of amazing screams, technically accurate

solos, and strong rhythm section, but Murder By Pride is also filled

with inspiration.

Cheap Trick were up first, since they were just the 'special guest'. The only thing that sucked is that during the first couple songs they played, I was stuck in line getting a t-shirt. I guess I hadn't expected them ...

Well I arrived there @ 2pm nobody was there mostly young kids and it was hot & muggy as well and if you have ever been inside Station 4 when it's like that it sucks.

Anyway I walked in and he commented ...

Yeah, I've been lazy with this mainly because school has started, I haven't felt like doing it, and uploading the pictures is time consuming and annoying (it would be so much easier to copy & paste. Of course we spent most of the show standing anyway but when we needed to give our feet a rest at least we had someplace to sit

The 30th anniversary tour of British Steel finally made its way to the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD (which is 1/2 way between Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD) and they put on a GREAT show!!!! Unfortunately, Whitesnake had dropped off the tour due to David Coverdale's vocal issues. I was looking forward to seeing Whitesnake, as I have never seen them play live before. At the last minute, Kix was added to the show as the second opening act. Kix put on a GREAT show. I don;t actually ...
