There is no way any one of us can get each and every album released this year. So ... give me your top 5. Let me know the 5 albums I NEED to get this year!

If enough of you agree, I will buy them!

Anyway ... this is like the other thread in that you are ranking '09 albums, but just keep this one to top 5! Thanks!

RUSH - (Moon Records/Mercury Records) - 1974

In 1974, Rush escaped from the relative obscurity of Toronto and added their own unique variation to the still-developing North American heavy rock scene. Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson and John Rutsey self-financed the recording of the debut Rush album at two different studios in Toronto. They then formed their own label (Moon Records) and pressed 3500 copies of the album. The song ...

I was looking over my music collection, and noticed alot of great CD's from 1981, and I remember MTV starting out and alot of cool New Wave stuff being played. Also 1978 seems to pop up quite a bit,, and 1987. Personally, I also remember 1991 being a good year. For some others, it might be 1968. I'm going to have to ...

Received my copy of Lex Metallis from the band. Who else has a copy? What do you think? I personally think this is their best yet, even though it is a cover album. It all sounds like Ultimatum. My favorites are the more obscure songs, Cant Get Out, Gut Wrench, Locked in Chains, Ton of Bricks, and Sin After Sin. I hope this CD does well for them and get them into some new markets.

Once these are gone you will probably never have a chance to get Fatal Delay on CD again!

I just want to share, cause I hate all those emails when the presale is done looking for one and having to say no!

Snag one now before they are all gone and you will get it late this coming week!

Thanks to all who pre-ordered!

Roxx Productions is proud to announce the signing of Pastor Brad to their roster! After 5 consecutive instrumental shred albums, Pastor Brad is back with a full-length vocal album! And while the old-school guitar shred influences are still here, this album will hit you square in the face with some of the heaviest sounding riffs ever recorded on any Pastor Brad album!

This album will also feature three very special guest vocalists: Rachael (of Ravenshead), Richie Z (of Blind Seven), and ...

Lethal - PROGRAMMED

Any other fans of this semi-forgotten prog/power band from Kentucky, USA? I've been listening to their 1990 release (PROGRAMMED, on Metal Blade) quite a bit lately. The most obvious comparisons (to me) would be WARNING/RAGE era Queensryche or the first two discs by Crimson Glory, with a small hit of thrash metal in a few places. Dang good stuff. Terrible album cover though. Haha.

I believe they released one album after PROGRAMMED (the name of it completely escapes me at the moment) ...

I've been a fan of Doom since around 1988 when I first heard "The Wish" from Trouble on Z-Rock Radio...I was 16. I soon bought all the Trouble I could get my hands on. Then I discovered Candlemass. I discovered Solitude Aeturnus when they released their first album 'Into The Depths Of Sorrow' & have loved them ever since.

Since then, I've latched onto other bands & have expanded my tastes into Funeral Doom, Classic Doom, Gothic Doom & even some Black Doom...I just love ...

Live In San Diego was recorded in 1994 at an undisclosed club in San Diego...and mixed at an undisclosed studio. It sat on the shelf unused until Dirty Looks' main man, Henrik Ostergaard, took matters into his own hands and sold it as a cdr on eBay for a bit in back in '05.

The tracks on the cdr vary wildly sonically. The first block of tracks are very muddy, while the last two are much clearer. The overall volume from track to track is not consistent. The crowd noise doesn't flow ...

Just saw this over at Blabber... i thought the part King said about Anthrax at the end was funny.

If this really happens it will be historic.

METALLICA, SLAYER, MEGADETH And ANTHRAX To Tour Together? - Sep. 3, 2009 SLAYER guitarist Kerry King has told U.K.'s Metal Hammer magazine that he has heard through the grapevine that METALLICA drummer Lars Ulrich is plotting a tour that would include METALLICA, MEGADETH, SLAYER and ANTHRAX.

Should this tour materialize, this would be the ...
